Booksalon and Checkout X bring you a new and innovative way to accept card payments without a separate payment terminal. This solution turns your smartphone into a mobile payment terminal that you can take with you anywhere.
It’s especially suitable for in-salon services, home visits, expo's and events and other mobile businesses.

Pricing: In addition to the standard payment processing fee, a fixed fee of €0.10 per transaction applies.
Setup Instructions
Set up the mobile payment terminal
1. Download the booksalon PRO app
Download the booksalon PRO app if you haven’t already
Open the app and log in with your booksalon credentials
2. Start setup
Tap the “Payment Terminal” icon in the bottom menu
Tap “Start”
3. Name your terminal
Give your terminal a name (e.g. “Emma’s phone”)
4. Download Checkout X POS app
Tap “Go to store”
Download the Checkout X POS app
Once downloaded, do NOT open it from the store
Return to the booksalon app and tap “Payment Terminal” again
5. Allow connection
The Checkout X POS app will connect automatically
If loading takes longer than usual, check the booksalon PRO app
When you see “Done!”, tap “OK”
👉 Your payment terminal is now ready to use!
Test a payment via POS
Go back to the booksalon PRO app
Open the POS
Add a test charge
Select “Payment Terminal” as the payment method
Choose your named terminal
Tap “Charge”
The payment will open automatically in the Checkout X POS app.
The customer taps their card or phone.
Once completed, return to the booksalon POS and send the receipt.👉 Note: You must have the booksalon PRO app installed to use this feature.

Open the Payment Terminal feature at the start of your day
Let the app load all necessary data before processing payments
Once ready, charge normally via the POS
NFC and Tap to Pay (Android & iPhone)
Tap to Pay uses NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.

Go to Connections
Select NFC and ensure it’s turned on
iPhone 📱
Available on iPhone XS and newer
Requires iOS 16 or later
NFC is enabled by default (no manual setup needed)

💡 Tips for successful payments
Hold the card close and steady (don’t swipe)
If it doesn’t work immediately, try a slightly different position
Make sure the screen is on and the app is active

All payments are securely processed via booksalon and Checkout X, both of which are PCI DSS certified.
