Payment terminal delivery and receiving

  • The payment terminal is usually delivered by mail to your premises within 5–7 business days of the order and the signing of the merchant agreement.

  • Once you've received the shipment, check that the package, the device, and the security seal are intact and untouched. The package includes the payment terminal, a USB cable, and a power adapter.

  • The booksalon portable payment terminal comes with a built-in 4G connection, so a Wi-Fi connection isn't mandatory. However, if you'd like to set up a Wi-Fi internet connection, you'll need a security code from us for it. If the Wi-Fi connection fails for any reason, the payment terminal automatically switches to the built-in 4G connection.

Positioning the payment terminal

  • Position the payment terminal so that it's easily accessible to the customer, with a little free space around the device so that contactless payment also works easily.

  • When positioning the payment terminal, also make sure that the power cord and any network cable reach their connection points well and that no cable is left hanging freely, so that the payment terminal doesn't accidentally fall to the floor, for example.

Installing and setting up the payment terminal

  1. Connect the power cord to the payment terminal and to the power outlet. Let the battery charge for at least 4 hours before using the payment terminal wirelessly.

  2. Turn the payment terminal on from the power button until the screen starts up. Continue the setup as normal.

  3. Next, select your preferred language and, if you wish, a Wi-Fi network connection. (This isn't mandatory, as the device has a built-in 4G internet connection.)

  4. In the next step, check that your premises and address have been entered correctly, and proceed.

  5. After this, wait a moment until the booksalon logo appears on the payment terminal's screen and the device is fully ready to use.

Using the payment terminal

Please note that the payment terminal is fully integrated with the till at your booksalon premises. You can't enter anything on the payment terminal's screen yourself; instead, the amount to be paid appears automatically on the payment terminal's screen. During payment, the customer enters their PIN code as normal.

When you select "Payment terminal" as the payment method at your booksalon premises' till and click "Charge," the amount is transferred directly and automatically to the payment terminal, and the customer pays for their purchase.

The booksalon payment terminal supports Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners, Discover, JCB, and UnionPay card payments, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay, by chip or contactless.

Settlement frequency

You can define your preferred settlement frequency for card and online payment settlements yourself. You can choose a daily, weekly, or monthly settlement frequency. You'll find more information about settlements and the settlement frequency here.
