Two-factor authentication (2FA)
You can voluntarily set up two-factor authentication on your account. This means that when logging into the booksalon system, you will need to provide an additional security code along with your username and password.
Instructions for activation:
Log in to the booksalon system.
Select "Personal Settings" from the top-right corner.
Choose "Set up Two Factor Authentication."
Use your authentication app (for example Google Authenticator) to scan the QR code displayed on the screen and generate a token.
Enter the token into the requested field in the system.
Log out and log back in for the setting to take effect.
Done!
Instructions for removal:
Log in to the booksalon system.
Select "Personal Settings" from the top-right corner.
Choose "Remove Two Factor Authentication."
Enter the authentication code to verify the removal.
Log out and log back in for the setting to take effect.
48 hour reminders
The long awaited 48 hour reminder setting is here. Now you can set a 48 hour option in addition to the 2 and 24 hour options for outgoing reminders to your client. This will ensure that your client remembers to show up to their appointments, or reschedule.
Here's how it works:
Go to "Settings" and select "Salon calendar settings".
Find "Default reminder settings".
Activate the slider next to "Reminder 48 hours before" (so it turns green) and select the settings for SMS (PRO) and email reminders.
'At work' function
Now the calendar will not show a user who does not have a shift open on that day. This improves the usability of the calendar.
In the future, you will be able to choose between the "All" or "At Work" options in the calendar view.
The "At work" feature will show you the people who are at work on that day in the calendar.
Amount of characters in the service description
The amount of characters allowed for service descriptions has been increased from 500 to 2000. This is particularly useful if you want to tell your customers about your treatments in a more comprehensive way.
