Delivery of the M1 payment terminal

  • The payment terminal will be delivered to your salon within 3-5 business days from the order. We can only order the payment terminal after the merchant agreement is signed, and your merchant account is approved.

  • Upon receiving the shipment, ensure that the package and device are intact, and the package includes the following: payment terminal, charging station, two USB-C cables, a connector piece for cables and a power adapter.

Placement of the M1 payment terminal

  • We recommend securely attaching the charging station to the table for easier card entry for customers. Instructions for attaching the charging station are provided below.

  • Place the payment terminal so that it is easily accessible to the customer, and there is some free space around the device to facilitate contactless payments.

  • Consider the placement of the power cord to reach the power outlet without hanging freely.

  • The payment terminal can be charged in two ways: using the charging station or without it.

  • Charging without the charging station: The USB-C cable is connected to the side of the payment terminal.

  • You can also charge the payment terminal in the car if desired.

  • Instructions for charging the terminal from the charging station are provided below.

Instructions for attaching the charging station and charging the M1 terminal from the station:

  1. Open the box and ensure that the charging station and cable are inside.

2. Remove the square-shaped fastening piece from the bottom of the charging station. It is attached with a magnet, so it is helpful to use, for example, a screwdriver or a knife.

3. Remove the red protective cover from the tape and attach the fastening piece to the table. Clean the surface of the table before attaching.

4. Wait for five minutes to allow the adhesive to properly attach to the surface. Then, place the charging station on top of the fastening piece. When placing the payment terminal in the charging station, press the upper part of the payment terminal first, and then the lower part.

5. When the payment terminal is in the charging station, use only the charging station's USB cable for charging. Do not connect another cable to the payment terminal.

To detach the payment terminal from the charging station, press the large button on the bottom of the payment terminal.

Removing the charging station from the table is easily done by lifting the charging station upward.

Installation and activation of the M1 payment terminal

  • It is recommended to first attach the charging station to the table. Follow the instructions here.

  • Turn the payment terminal on and charge it. Wait until you see the booksalon logo on the payment terminal screen; after this, the payment terminal is ready for use.

  • The payment terminal automatically enters power-saving mode 5 minutes after it is not in use. In power-saving mode, the terminal is "deactivated," and it needs to be awakened for use. After waking it up, it takes a moment for the connections to be reestablished.

Usage of the M1 payment terminal

  • Select the M1 payment terminal as the payment method in the booksalon Point of Sale and click Charge. The amount transfers directly to the payment terminal, and the customer can pay for their purchase using their preferred card either by contactless or by inserting the card.

  • Contactless payments can also be made for amounts over €50. When the amount exceeds the €50 limit, the payment terminal will request a PIN code after showing the card. This allows larger payments without physically entering the card into the payment terminal, provided the card supports this feature (most new cards do).

  • Customers should be instructed to insert the card all the way so that they feel a slight click if the payment is made by inserting the card into the terminal.

  • The booksalon payment terminal supports Visa and MasterCard chip card payments, contactless payments, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
