Moving from another system and marketplace to booksalon

Import your customer register into booksalon

→ Send your customer register as a CSV file via chat or email to support@booksalon.fi

Complete your marketplace profile

→ Go to: Settings → Salon details → Salon details & presentation

Complete:

  • Introduction text

Review all employee profiles

→ Make sure every user has:

  • A profile picture

  • Correct services

  • Working hours

  • Personal introduction text

Set up services, additional services, and work shifts correctly

→ Add services, additional services, and work schedules for each employee to ensure smooth online booking.

Review calendar and notification settings

→ Check both salon-level and personal calendar settings, as well as notification settings.

Complete the marketing checklist

Go through steps 1–9 to ensure your customers follow you to booksalon after the transition.

Encourage customers to download the booksalon app

Respond to customer reviews

Be active and publicly thank customers for their reviews, especially on social media. This builds trust and shows customers that you value their feedback.

Use campaign tools when offering promotions

→ Create campaigns for your customers, for example:

"Free paraffin mask with any facial treatment when booked through the new system during May. Enter 'booksalonbenefit' in the booking notes to redeem this offer."

Display information in your salon

Print a small sign or table card explaining the new booking system and include a QR code for downloading the app or accessing your booking page. This helps in-person customers find the new system easily.

Soft-launch to loyal customers

Tell your regular customers about the new booking app before the official launch. They can provide your first customer reviews through the app.

Create a "How to book an appointment" video

A short screen recording or social media reel showing:

  • Where to download the app

  • How to find your profile

  • How easy it is to book an appointment

This type of content performs particularly well on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

Test the booking experience yourself

Make a test booking as a customer. This allows you to see the booking journey firsthand and quickly fix any unclear areas.

Share educational content later

Post tips about using the app and remind customers of the benefits:

  • Appointment reminders


✅ Activating the marketplace

If you want your salon to appear in the marketplace, you can easily activate it:

Settings → Salon calendar settings → "Services can also be booked from the booksalon marketplace and app"

Note! Your salon will become visible in the marketplace after receiving its first customer-made booking. This allows the marketplace to recognize your business as active.
