How to handle the salon calendar settings, e.g. cancellation and booking settings and booking messages.

Salon calendar settings are here:

  • Salon calendar settings can be found in the left hand menu by clicking on “Settings” and “Salon calendar settings”.

Length of the calendar time slots and the order of employees in the calendar

  1. You can define the length of the calendar time slots as you wish.

  2. By activating this button, employees will be shown in a random order on the client's online booking page. Here you will find instructions on how to assign a specific order to employees.

  3. You can display the online booking calendar in "week" or "day" view.

  4. By activating this button, the services of the salon can be booked on the booksalon Marketplace. (feature coming in the future)

  5. By activating this button, customers are forced to enter their home address information when creating a booking. Without this information, the customer will not be able to complete the booking in the system.

  6. By activating this button, editing or cancellation of bookings can only be done by phone.

Multi service bookings (PRO)

  • Activate the first button to be able to schedule multi service bookings in your salon admin calendar. Multi service bookings consists of more than one service done by the same employee, on the same day, one after the other.

  • Activate the second button if you want customers to be able to make multi service bookings by themselves in the salons' online booking page.

Setting a cancellation policy

2.1 Cancellation Policy: You can set the number of hours that cancellations and modifications are allowed before the booking.

2.2 Cancellation Fee: You can specify the percentage (%) you will be charging if a client acts contrary to the cancellation policy.

These will be included in the booking confirmation automatically.

Be sure to activate the green button if you want to use the feature!

Settings for online bookings

  • Activate the button if you allow ONLY customers who have registered as booksalon users to make self-service bookings.

  • Activate the button if you want the customer to be able to select the “Anybody” option in the selection of the employees/service providers at the time of booking.

Editing and adding your own text to the booking confirmation

Add your own message to the booking confirmations which will be visible to customers in each of their booking confirmations.

Default reminder settings

  1. Set the default reminder settings for customer bookings.

  2. These settings affect bookings made by the customer themselves.

  3. Customers can also edit these settings themselves after making a booking, but these default settings are primarily turned on by default unless the customer chooses to change them.

Note: please remember that text messages requires PRO-package.
